Armed with a background in Law and Rural Development, complemented by Master’s Degrees in English Literature and Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, Shashi laid a robust academic foundation for his illustrious career.

As a professional lawyer registered with the Nepal Bar Council, he has championed causes related to social justice, human rights, and environmental conservation. At the grassroots level, Shashi has been a driving force behind initiatives aimed at local governance, community development, and peace-building.

His influence extends far beyond the confines of his legal practice. Shashi’s leadership roles in organizations such as Aawaj International Pvt. Ltd, where he serves as President, and the National Federation of Youth NGOs Nepal(NFYN), where he holds the position of Central President, underscore his commitment to youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, health initiatives, DRRM, human rights, cultural preservation, and good governance.

Shashi’s impact reverberates in the media landscape as well. With years of experience as a newsreader, program producer, and presenter at various radio and television stations, he has used his platform to raise awareness of critical issues and promote cultural enrichment.

Moreover, Shashi is a prolific author and musician, with a rich repertoire of literary works and music albums to his credit. His creations not only showcase his artistic prowess but also serve as a testament to his dedication to preserving Nepal’s cultural heritage.

Currently, as the President of Aawaj International Pvt. Ltd, Shashi demonstrates his leadership in various development agendas and cultural programs. He is leading the “Community-based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management” project funded by MoFA Japan and the “Partnership for Healthy Cities” project on behalf of NFYN funded by WHO, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Vital Strategies. He is actively engaged in the policymaking process in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, currently working on the New National Youth Policy.
