Rural Health Improvement Initiative
Mr. Shashi Sharma Majgainya, Vice President of the Holistic Development Center, an implementing organization, plays a pivotal role in leading the monitoring and evaluation aspects of the Rural Health Improvement Project (RHIP) – Scale-Up in partnership with the Fairmed Foundation. In his remarks, Mr. Majgainya outlines the project’s development, vision for the upcoming years, and its implementation in three rural municipalities of Rukum East. He oversees the project’s monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring effective partnership formation and evaluation processes in the area. The RHIP Scale-Up project aims to strengthen the local health system by collaborating closely with local governments, promoting health-seeking behavior, and reducing stigma through community education, empowerment, and mobilization. Utilizing various tools and techniques, the project engages existing local groups and communities to ensure sustainability. Key thematic areas include Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH), Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), and Disability.
